Friday Faves: Farewell by Satori Marketing, a Houston Marketing Agency

Friday Faves: Farewell!

We don’t want to brag too much, but this has really been the summer of Satori. We held our first Turn Up with Your Pup (now an annual event) supporting the Houston SPCA, our team became social media certified, we welcomed Ink to the team, launched our new website, and the Whiz went off on her first vacation to Mexico!

With this summer wrapping up, so must the Friday Faves series. It’s a little sad for us, but all good things must come to an end. So today, we are getting nostalgic about our summer at Satori. We all wrote a little blurb reflecting on what made this summer so great.

Nickel:

My favorite part about my summer at Satori was the intimate lap cuddle sessions with Tossa & Shiva, the cutest little furry munchkins EVER! Tossa always nags me for belly rubs and Shiva enjoys lots of head massages. I hope to adopt some furry munchkins of my own one day (possibly puppies, preferably potbelly pigs).

Taco:

My favorite thing this summer is our crazy cool, new office furniture (all thanks to Lindsey Furniture)! It’s summertime, I don’t want to stay cooped up at my desk all day! And now I have several (and I mean several) places to lounge and refresh the mind with a little change of scenery. You should really come to check it out if you haven’t had a chance to yet.

Frenchie:

Salut! My favorite thing about this summer was writing these awesome Friday Faves blog posts. It was always so much fun coming up with creative ways to link our favorite things to marketing tips. I got to write about my favorite singer, interview business owners about their marketing strategy, and talk about my favorite food: French Fries! This internship may be over, but my blogging days are not!

Pacman:

This summer, my favorite thing was all of the blockbusters. Avengers: Infinity War, Solo, and Deadpool 2 were all a great time. Look, I know none of them are going to be Oscar nominees, but it’s necessary, dumb fun. There’s nothing better than drinking an ice-cold Coke in a frigid theatre during the dog days of summer.

Pineapples:

My favorite thing was none other than the epic Turn Up with Your Pup (DUH)! Even though my boyfriend refused to let me bring a furry friend home, it’s still a day that goes down in my book as one of the greatest. I can’t decide whether the best part was melting over the adorable puppies or almost getting run over by a pack of wildly enthusiastic dogs in the dog park. If I’m being honest with myself, it was probably walking around with the turquoise microphone and yelling at people to come to join the party! It was all PUP-TASTIC and the best part – we get to do it all over again!

Ink:

I loved getting in sync with the Satori team this summer. Dealing with this crazy team has made me comfortable in any situation. I was even cool as a pumpernickel sandwich when I recorded a live Spanish segment on Univision for Turn Up with Your Pup. Joining the team has been my favorite summer thing, but it’s almost impossible to choose my favorite team member. Maybe Tossa?

Sasquatch:

I love all the activities available during summer. Everything from having a grilling party with friends, wiping out while attempting to kneeboard, or just enjoying a campout in the woods; These are the things I enjoy. Could be a tad cooler but hey, that’s summer in Houston…

Magician:

It may be time for this Magician to take his final bow, but I’ll never forget interviewing our friends at Sigma Brewing Co. for the Friday Faves. Getting to talk about marketing with a small business and take pictures of their bar and warehouse was one of the biggest highlights of my summer. They really are excellent craft brewers, so excellent in fact, I made their beer disappear in the blink of an eye.

WOW! Satori has had some incredible moments these past four months, but our best ones are ahead of us. We are sad to see some friends go and are excited to see new ones arrive. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this summer one for the books!

Oh, and if you are wondering if Satori will be posting any more blogs to help with your businesses marketing, don’t worry! Stay tuned for more industry insights and Satorisms!
