Wakka Wakka Wakka

Around these parts, my codename is Pac-man. I’m not an avid fan of the game. Heck, I wasn’t even alive in the 80’s. When you played sports growing up and your last name is Packard nicknames like Pac-man are inevitable. However, I will admit it is a fitting name, like the little yellow ball, I’m a consumer of all things.

I’m a huge music and vinyl junkie, so if you need recommendations for record stores or new tunes, I’m your guy. Want to catch a great, local band? The Suffers and Wild Moccasins are Houston staples and they always put on incredible shows. If you want to discuss sports, make sure your schedule is cleared. What do you predict for Deshaun’s future? Out of Springer, Correa, Bregman, and Cole, who do the Astros keep? We can’t afford them all. Nobody believed in the CP3 trade—will the Carmelo signing be as fruitful? A podcast is waiting for me somewhere in the future. I’ll stick to the water cooler for now.

I’m a passionate fan of great food and drinks. Houston really is a perfect home for someone like me. If you need suggestions, I’ll show you some of the best restaurants and bars in Houston (including my own watering hole: Packard’s Pub in Royal Oaks). Near Satori, Nancy’s Hustle is on the top of my list. They have incredible food and their cocktails are just as impressive.

You may be thinking, “Wait, this guy has a bar?”. Yep. Packard’s Pub opened last October. I’ve loved the process of developing a brand and building a business. I just needed more! That desire lead me to this internship with Satori Marketing. The insane job description for this internship caught my eye. Satori’s unofficial slogan is, “Welcome to the Crazy”, and it could not be more fitting. I was searching for an opportunity to get a broad experience in the industry and this was a perfect place to do that. I’m able to wear many different hats and get my hands dirty in the work.

Satori does a great job of working with their clients closely to deliver high-quality work. My hope for this internship is to learn from some of the best in the biz. My long-term goal in this industry is to help develop other businesses and celebrate their success with them! Success is neat, but what’s the point if you don’t celebrate it?
