At Satori, we pride ourselves on being purveyors of the epic; we thrive on innovation, breaking molds, and defying traditionalist naysayers. That’s why we rejoice so mightily when a client allows us the freedom to truly elevate their brand. We understand it takes a certain level of trust to allow relative strangers to run with your “baby,” but “trustworthy” is our middle name.
Satori is no stranger to the AMA Houston Crystal Awards, but we’re honored to be recognized once again by this influential marketing association, as 2017’s recipient of “Best Media Kit” in the Public Relations category. This was made possible by a truly collaborative partnership with our client, Drive288. From the jump, our client told us they were tasked to make this project “epic,” and from there we
had our marching orders. From logos and branding, to groundbreaking cerem
onies, journals, social media platforms, and event photography, Satori has been commissioned for a variety of deliverables, all with “epic” in our eyesight. Highway projects can too frequently live closer to mundane than epic—so creating and managing a recognizable, friendly brand was no small feat.
As a thoroughly trained, Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business-graduate-run organization, part of our initialization process is getting to know both our client AND their brand message. We won’t stop until we understand your tone, target audience, and internal stakeholders as if we had been working at your company from day one. Then we strategize, and methodically concept a plan to elevate your brand to the next level. This was no different for Drive288—the only variable was the official Media Kit to announce the project groundbreaking ceremony.
We saw great success, not only with the design and execution of the media kit, but with the coverage the story picked up. Thirteen media kits were delivered to Houston-area press shortly befor
e the project’s official Groundbreaking Ceremony.
- 12 commendatory news stories on the project were published, four within one month of media kit delivery.
- 84% of the press who were invited to the Groundbreaking with a media kit attended—in fact, this event proved to be standing room only!
- Several journalists who received media kits reached out to the team personally to compliment the innovative and “adorable” outreach.
- Most importantly: thanks to our cohesive and abundant outreach to the Houston press community, we succeeded in extending positive public awareness of this project.
Satori is thrilled to have another feather in our cap, but the true award has been allowing our client to shine to the point of award-winning excellence. So, thank you to our hardworking team that helped execute this deliverable with phenomenal precision, to the AMA Houston chapter and the Crystal Award judges for recognizing our work, and most importantly, to Drive288 for trusting Satori to get you to “epic.”
